Noida Traffic Alert: In view of the upcoming festivals such as Dhanteras and Diwali, the Noida Traffic Police has informed the general public about a significant increase in footfall expected in markets and shopping malls, especially in areas like Sector 18 Atta Market. The increased crowd is likely to cause traffic congestion on major roads.
To minimise inconvenience, the public is advised to use public transport and the metro as much as possible. They have been urged to avoid parking vehicles on roads and ensure to use designated parking areas while shopping. According to Noida Traffic Police, traffic diversions will be implemented in and around Sector 18 Atta Market as necessary to manage the flow of vehicles. Issuing the advisory, the traffic police has requested all citizens to cooperate and follow traffic guidelines to ensure smooth and safe movement for everyone during the festive season.
Diversions in Sector 18 Atta Market
In view of the above festivals, traffic diversions will be implemented in Sector 18 Atta Market as follows:
All vehicles going from Attapir Chowk towards Atta Chowk will turn left from Attapir, then turn right from Rai Residency Chowk, then take a U-turn under the elevated road in front of Cambridge School, and proceed via Sector 28 Car Market.
All vehicles going from Atta Chowk towards Attapir will turn left from Atta Chowk, then pass in front of GIP Mall, then take a U-turn under the Film City Flyover, and then turn left from DLF/Center Stage Mall.
Traffic going from Film City Flyover/Gurudwara Sector 18 towards Metro Station Sector 18 will proceed via Sector 18 Underpass.
Movement of heavy/medium/light goods vehicles will remain restricted on Noida Greater Noida Expressway as per the earlier no-entry order.

Diwali spans five days dedicated to Dhanteras, Naraka Chaturdashi (Choti Diwali), Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Dooj. Diwali celebrations kick off with Dhanteras, followed by Naraka Chaturdashi (Choti Diwali), Diwali or Deepawali, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj.
