Noida: Amid preparations for New Year Celebrations, liquor shops across Noida and Greater Noida have extended their timings by one hour on December 31 until 11 pm instead of 10. However, residents thinking of organising parties to celebrate the start of 2025 could attract legal trouble if they do not get their licenses.
District Excise Officer (Gautam Buddha Nagar) Subodh Shrivastava highlighted the importance of obtaining occasional bar licenses for private, commercial, and even house parties to serve liquor during the year-end bash.
Speaking to news agency PTI, Shrivastava further stated that many people throw parties during the New Year where alcohol is served, therefore their department is issuing single-day licenses for Rs 1,100. “The process is entirely online. It ensures safe and legal consumption of liquor,” he added.
