Noida: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death inside a meat shop in Sector 113 of Noida. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon, when two customers at a meat shop engaged in quarrel. The dispute had resulted in physical altercation, where the unidentified suspect took out knife and attacked the man.
The deceased has been identified as Shahjad, native of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. He used to live with his family in Sorkha area of Noida and worked at a private company, stated Noida Deputy Commissioner of police, Ram Badan Singh. The accused has not been identified so far.
Shahjad had gone to buy meat at a shop in Sorkha area on Thursday afternoon around 2:45 pm. While he was buying meat, he asked another customer to give the scarf he was wearing. The police is investigating why he asked for scarf.
What Did The Police Say?
When the other customer refused to give his scarf, a verbal argument took place between Shahjad and the unidentified man. The fight turned violent within a minute and they punched each other.
Police said that the suspect picked up butcher’s knife and attacked Shahjad on stomach. He stabbed twice in row before leaving the spot. Shahjad sustained injuries to his chest but collapsed on the ground after walking a few metres. The locals spotted him bleeding and alerted the police.
The police rushed to the spot immediately. Police added that case under section 103 (murder) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered at the Sector 113 police station on Thursday. Three teams have been formed to identify the suspect. Police have recorded statements of the meat shop owner and eyewitnesses. Further investigation is underway, stated the police.
