Noida: GST Deputy Commissioner Jumps To Death From 14th Floor Of His Society Building – What Led To The Extreme Step?

According to the deceased’s family members, he was suffering from cancer and depression, which could be the reason behind this extreme step.

Noida News: Sanjay Singh, a deputy commissioner in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Department in Ghaziabad, allegedly died by suicide. According to police, he reportedly jumped to his death from the 14th floor of his apartment building in Noida’s Sector 75.

KG Sharma, in charge of Sector 113 police station, told news agency PTI that Sanjay Singh, 59, was found dead around 11 AM at Apex Athena Society.

According to the deceased’s family members, he was suffering from cancer and depression, which could be the reason behind this extreme step.

“Family members told the police that he was suffering from cancer and was in depression. They believe this may have led him to take this step,” Sharma was quoted as saying by PTI.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Singh is survived by his wife and two sons.
