Noida: Massive Fire Breaks Out In Hotel After AC Blast; 15 People Escape To Roof To Save Themselves

People were peacefully sleeping in the hotel rooms when they were suddenly startled after hearing the sound of the blast. Shortly after, the fire broke out, and people ran towards the roof in panic.

Noida: A massive explosion took place in a hotel in Noida on Sunday, sparking chaos among staff and customers. Around 15 people who were staying in the hotel rushed towards the roof to save themselves. Meanwhile, a fire brigade team arrived on the spot and controlled the blaze. Initial reports suggest that the fire was caused due to an explosion in Hotel’s AC.

4 Fire Brigade Vehicles Rushed To The Spot

According to CFO Pradeep Kumar Choubey, Swastik Om Hotel Control Room, located in Sector 46, B Block, received the information about the tragedy around 4:30 am. A total of 4 fire brigade vehicles and hydraulic vehicles were sent to the spot. Upon arrival, they found a room on the second floor on fire. About 15 people, including the hotel staff, climbed the hotel’s roof to save themselves. While a team tried to extinguish the flames, others rescued the trapped people safely.

Fire Caused Due To Explosion In AC

In about 20 minutes, the firefighters controlled the fire. Meanwhile, three other fire brigade vehicles were kept on standby on the spot. The CFO informed that the fire was caused by an explosion in the AC. People were peacefully sleeping in the hotel rooms when they were suddenly startled after hearing the sound of the blast. Shortly after, the fire broke out, and people ran towards the roof in panic. They heaved a sigh of relief after the fire was extinguished.

Investigation Launched

CFO Choubey said that a probe has been launched and police are collecting Information regarding the hotel’s fire equipment and NOC.
