Good News! Noida International Airport to connect directly with Mathura, Firozabad and more cities; Details inside

Earlier on September 17, Union Civil Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu had announced that the project, set to be Asia’s largest, is nearing completion. The inauguration of the airport is scheduled for October 30, 2025.

As the inauguration of the Noida International Airport (NIA), popularly known as Jewar airport approaches, the authorities have intensified measures to enhance passenger convenience. Around forty Uttar Pradesh Roadways buses are set to operate from Noida Airport to transport air travellers to their destinations. These buses will connect cities such as Noida, Greater Noida, Mathura, Agra, and Firozabad to the airport. In response to growing passenger demand, AC and comfortable buses will also be introduced soon.

40 CNG buses in the first phase

In the first phase, 40 CNG-powered buses will operate from the Jewar airport. All these buses will be eco-friendly and will contribute towards reducing pollution levels in the city. The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) Regional Manager MK Singh stated that roadways buses operating from Noida, Greater Noida’s Kasna, Agra, Mathura, and Firozabad are now being connected to the airport route.

Flights to 10 major cities

After the airport’s inauguration, flight services to 10 major cities will commence from Noida International Airport. These roadways buses will play a vital role in connecting airport passengers to Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Western Uttar Pradesh, ensuring faster and smoother connectivity.

Multi-state Transport Partnership

According to reports, agreements have been reached with Delhi’s Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), Haryana Roadways, and Uttarakhand Transport Corporation for bus operations. An agreement with UP Roadways is also in the final stages. Private shuttle and tourist buses are also proposed to operate from the airport in the future.

AC buses to be available soon

In addition to normal buses, UPSRTC also plans to operate AC and Volvo-style luxury buses. A blueprint is being developed to facilitate this.
