Noida: In a crackdown against illegal infrastructures, the Noida Authority on Thursday identified and labelled nearly 22 buildings across different locations as ‘illegal’. The authority has been using stickers and other methods to warn the buyers of these buildings. According to reports, the buildings that are constructed without proper approvals were marked as ‘illegal’ with red ink.
Reports added that the Noida Authority took action against illegal encroachments located in Garhi Chaukhandi and Basai villages, including shops, hotels, residential buildings, etc. Notices were pasted in red on about 22 illegal buildings to protect the potential buyers. The work of identifying, labeling, and listing the buildings as ‘illegal’ is being carried out by the senior managers of Circle 1 to 10 on the instructions of Noida Authority CEO Dr. Lokesh M. Additionally, land mafias are also actively identified.
On Thursday, a team of Work Circle 5 visited Basai village and Gadhi Chaukhandi to inspect the authority’s acquired and notified land of Plot numbers 13, 16, 17, 34, 35, 36, 37, and 38. Meanwhile, Work Circle 5 Senior Manager Parasnath Sonkar informed that illegal constructions are being done on the land located between FNG and Pushta.
Thereafter, several attempts were made to stop the construction work here, and notices were pasted on all these buildings. The Noida Authority had earlier warned the builders of the demolition to reclaim the land and recover the cost, reports added. Meanwhile, if any illegal construction is found on the authority’s plots after the survey, then the encroacher will be put in the category of land mafia.
