Noida: An encounter took place between police and criminals during vehicle checking in Thana Phase 2 area of Noida on Tuesday morning. During police firing, one criminal was injured after being shot in the leg. While the other criminal managed to escape from the spot. Police has admitted the injured criminal to the hospital. Police claim that the criminal caught is a vicious robber and thief.
Firing On Police Team
Central Noida DCP Shakti Mohan Avasthy said that on Tuesday morning, Thana Phase 2 police was checking vehicles at Kakarala Pushta Tiraha. Then the police signalled two people riding a bike to stop. Instead of stopping, the criminals turned the bike and started running towards Sorkha. Following this, the police team started chasing them. Seeing themselves surrounded, the criminals started firing on the police.
Criminal Shot In Retaliation
The DCP said that on this, a criminal was injured by a bullet in the police retaliatory firing. While his partner escaped from the spot. The injured miscreant has been identified as Prince Kumar, resident of village Pachiya, Thana Nardiganj, District Nawada Bihar. The accused was currently living in Salarpur village of Noida.
Hunt On For Accomplice
1 pistol, 1 live cartridge, 1 empty cartridge of .315 bore, the bike used in the incident, 4 stolen mobile phones have been recovered from the possession of the arrested miscreant. The injured miscreant has been sent to the hospital for treatment. One of the miscreant’s accomplices fled taking advantage of the darkness, combing is being done in search of him. Other criminal history of the arrested miscreant is being investigated.
