Noida: Crackdown On Valuable Sunni And Shia Waqf Properties! Administration Gears Up For Action

Different activities are being conducted on the above-mentioned properties of Waqf Board that include agriculture, running of commercial shops and construction of religious places. Noida: Investigations into the properties of Waqf Board have begun following the smooth passage of the controversial Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 in the Lok Sabha and 24-hours-later in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. According to News24 reporter Junaid Akhtar, the Waqf Board in Gautam Buddha Nagar officially has 7.37 acres of registered land. Meanwhile, District Minority Welfare Officer Yukti Pandey noted that there are a total of 41 Waqf properties in the district – 26 Sunni and 15 Shia Waqf properties.

Administration To Conduct A Survey Again

Pandey further confirmed that the data was collected last year during the month of September and October. On the other hand, the data obtained from the Waqf Assets Management System of India (WAMSI) revealed that there are a total of 208 Waqf properties in the district. In light of this broader difference, the administration will now conduct a survey on the Waqf properties again.

Noida Police On High Alert

After the Waqf Bill was passed in the Parliament, Noida Police is on high alert mode. DCPs of three zones are currently carrying out patrolling. Additionally, the authorities have urged people to maintain peace after holding high-profile meeting with religious leaders. Meanwhile, Sector scheme has been implemented in the district and police Response Vehicle (PRV) has been deployed for patrolling. ACP level officers have been deployed in 24 zones, inspectors and sub-inspectors across 90 sectors, additional police force at 59 points in mixed population areas, and 73 other forces along with 112 police officers.
