Noida: In a shocking incident, a man has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend on Monday, November 11, in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida. According to media reports, the woman was strangled to death in front of her 4-year-old son. The heated argument between the couple escalated into violence which led to the woman’s murder.
DCP Noida Central Shakti Mohan Awasthi told ABP News that the victim was a resident of Noida’s Chijarsi village. She was reportedly in an extramarital relationship with the accused identified as Pradeep, for about three years.
Reports revealed that Pradeep repeatedly pressured her to live with him, leaving her family, comprising of her husband and four-year-old son.
On November 11, when the woman’s husband was away for work, Pradeep arrived at her home and forced her to leave her family. After the victim disagreed with him, Pradeep strangled her to death.
On hearing the noise, the child who was sleeping in another room woke and ended up witnessing his mother’s brutal murder. The accused was nabbed from Gadhi Gol Chakkar area and an investigation is underway.
In a separate incident, a 35-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death inside a meat shop in Sector 113 of Noida. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon when two customers at a meat shop engaged in a quarrel. The dispute had resulted in a physical altercation, where the unidentified suspect took out a knife and attacked the man.
