Noida new EV Policy

Noida: Noida Authority on Thursday implemented a new system to promote electric vehicles in the metropolitan area. The authority decided to reserve 20 percent of parking for electric vehicles in the parking area and made it mandatory to provide the facility for charging vehicles there.

Noida Authority’s CAP Ishtiaq Ahmed informed that after the implementation of the e-vehicle charging policy in the state, the Noida Authority took the decision and issued the guidelines. 

Under the new policy, except for houses, all group housing projects, including commercial, institutional, industry, and IT, will have to ensure 20 percent reservation in the parking area for electric vehicles. The policy officials instructed to set up Complete arrangements for the charging facility there.

The new societies will only get their map approved after they ensure following the given guidelines. 

The new initiatives will give a boost to electric vehicles and it will further reduce pollution in the city, there will be no problem with charging electric vehicles and they can be easily charged in the parking lot, said Ishtiaq.

Sector 18 will be commercial hub

Sector-18, the biggest commercial hub in the city, will now be decorated and groomed like the commercial area of Bengaluru city. The CEO directed the GM of Noida Authority to send a team to Bangalore for inspection. The team will present the complete plan to the CEO of Noida Authority. 

Ask for proposals from the people 

The CEO has sought proposals from the people to increase their participation in the beautification of important places, underpasses etc. Whose proposal is the best will be rewarded.

Cattle roaming on roads

The CEO expressed displeasure over the cattle roaming the streets in the city and Instructed the officers to send them to Gaushala. The CEO said that a fine should be imposed by giving notice to those who have left the cattle on the roads.

Campaign to sterilize dogs

The CEO also instructed to conduct a special campaign for sterilization and vaccination of street dogs to control the dog population in the Noida area. For this, the authority has also issued a tender a day before.
