Noida: In a significant move to address the issue of underpriviledged children being pushed to begging, the Noida Authorities have come up with an action plan that includes a collaboration with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).
As per the information, the decision has been taken in order to improve the lives of destitute and underprivileged children.

In a recent meeting with various NGOs, government officials asked them to conduct citywide surveys, including locations such as bus stops, slums, signal and other places.
They said the aim was to identify disadvantaged children and encourage interested organizations to participate in the project.
Authorities Asked To Gather Details And Submit Comprehensive Report
Lokesh M, Executive Director of the Noida Authority, said officials have been tasked with collecting information and compiling comprehensive reports on the number of impoverished children begging or working in public. This data will inform the next steps of the initiative.

Vimlesh Sharma, who runs an NGO in the Nithari region, organised various activities for poor children at the meeting, including learning, painting, indoor sports and library access.
This proposal was approved by the participants of the meeting.
According to the government, the initiative not only aims to provide education and improve the welfare of children, but also aims to eliminate begging in public due to lack of resources.
Meeting Attended By 10 NGOs
The meeting was attended by about 10 NGOs operating in Noida as well as senior officials of the Noida government.
A review meeting with the participation of officials from the Ministry of Basic Education, Gautam Budh Nagar Police, NGOs and others will be held by the Noida government during the meeting, officials said.
This gives a hope to the city that can turn into a better place for those children who are forced into begging as their family lack resources and wealth to educate and give them a bright future.
