Noida: In a resolute effort to address the mounting traffic challenges plaguing the Delhi-NCR region, the Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authorities have unveiled a pioneering plan. This strategic blueprint revolves around the implementation of a cohesive traffic management approach, aiming to establish consistent transportation provisions spanning these three urban centers.
Going beyond mere intent, these authorities are embarking on the construction of interconnected road networks to enhance regional connectivity and alleviate the existing traffic congestion. The gravity of this initiative was underscored during the recent board meeting of the Noida Authority, convened on a Sunday.
A unified approach for enhanced mobility
The collaborative spirit demonstrated by all three governing bodies underscores their shared commitment to fortifying the regional transportation grid. Informed perspectives regarding the deliberations of the 210th board meeting were provided by Lokesh M, the Chief Executive Officer of the Noida Authority.
Under the guidance of Manoj Kumar Singh, who serves as the Chairman for both the Greater Noida Authority and the Noida Authority’s CEO, the meeting bore witness to the participation of influential figures, including Anil Kumar Sagar, Chief Secretary; Ravi Kumar NG, CEO of Greater Noida; and Kapil Singh, CEO of Yamuna Authority, alongside other distinguished officials.
Meanwhile, Lokesh M elucidated, “Underscoring a comprehensive framework for regional connectivity, the three authorities are forging a collaborative path to craft an inclusive transportation blueprint. The process of inviting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) has been formally initiated. The financial responsibilities entailed in this transformative endeavor will be equitably distributed among the triad of authorities. A dedicated committee will be assembled to spearhead the formulation of the all-encompassing regional traffic strategy.”
New Noida: An evolutionary leap
In an equally noteworthy development, the Noida Authority’s board extended its endorsement for the inception of ‘New Noida,’ signifying a remarkable stride in the city’s expansive trajectory. This endorsement acts as the catalyst for the forthcoming land acquisition phase, which is pivotal to realizing the grand vision of this ambitious undertaking.
Championed by the Uttar Pradesh government and overseen by Yogi Adityanath, the ‘New Noida’ project envisions a thriving economic and industrial nucleus, poised to usher in unprecedented dimensions of growth for the region.
Architecting a vision: New Noida unveiled
The expanse of ‘New Noida’ is staggering, encapsulating a sprawling canvas spanning a sweeping 21,000 hectares. Envisioned within the contours of the Master Plan 2041, the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNIP) will unfold across 20 villages within Gautam Buddh Nagar, while encompassing an additional 60 villages in Bulandshahr. The resultant entity, aptly titled ‘New Noida,’ is projected to embody the essence of progress and potential.
Blueprint to mitigate traffic jam problems
A meticulous land usage blueprint has been orchestrated, delineating 40% of the terrain for industrial endeavors, dedicating 13% to residential landscapes, and earmarking a substantial 18% for verdant enclaves of greenery. The Noida Authority, with precision, has earmarked a vast expanse totaling 21,000 hectares across 80 villages nestled within the Gautam Buddh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts, providing the bedrock for ‘New Noida.’
Bolstering this commitment is a substantial allocation of 1,000 crore rupees from this year’s budget, designated for the acquisition of land and the internal orchestration of ‘New Noida.’ This audacious undertaking is poised to catalyze gainful employment for an estimated 600,000 individuals, while concurrently giving rise to dynamic elements including logistics hubs, knowledge incubators, integrated residential havens, and skill development epicenters, fostering an ecosystem teeming with innovation and progress.
