New Delhi Seat, Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 Results LIVE: Arvind Kejriwal Accepts Mandate, Vows To Be Constructive Opposition

The New Delhi seat which emerged as the hot seat in this Delhi Assembly Elections, has been won by BJP's Parvesh Verma. Verma defeated former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP candidate Arvind Kejriwal to claim this seat.

New Delhi Seat, Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 Results LIVE

The Delhi Assembly Election Results were declared on Saturday, February 8. The verdict of masses has been declared and BJP has made a historic come back after 27 years. The New Delhi seat which emerged as the hot seat in this Delhi Assembly Elections, has been won by BJP’s Parvesh Verma. Verma defeated former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP candidate Arvind Kejriwal to claim this seat. Vote counting began at 8 AM.

New Delhi had became the focal point of this election, with AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal contesting against 22 candidates, including BJP’s Parvesh Verma and Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit. Notably, two of Kejriwal’s opponents were the sons of former chief ministers, while six were independent candidates, with several others representing smaller regional parties.

We have done a lot of work in the field of health, education, infrastructure in the last 10 years. We will not only play the role of a constructive opposition but will also remain among the people and continue to serve them..."
