The ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, which started on 13 January, is drawing large number of devotees. As of 8 AM on Tuesday, over 4.55 million people, including 1 million Kalpawasis, have taken a holy dip at the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, as per the Uttar Pradesh Information Department. It is expected to see more number of devotees on occasion of Mauni Amavasya which coincides with second Amrit snan on 29 January.

You can take bus from stations like Anand Vihar in Delhi, Ghaziabad’s Kaushambi Bus Depot, Sahibabad Bus Depot and Noida-Greater Noida Depot. Roadways busses are available here 24 hours a day. Tickets are available both online and offline for all types of busses including ordinary, deluxe, AC, super deluxe. You can visit the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation website or book busses from RedBus, Goibibo and EaseMyTrip.
Atleast 600 diesel busses have been arranged from Ghaziabad to Prayagraj. All these buses will reach Prayagraj passing through Noida Depot via Yamuna Expressway.
Rail Options
For people opting trains, nearest railway station to Noida is Anand Vihar Terminal. Trains like Varanasi Vande Bharat, Netaji Express and Sambalpur Express are available from Anand Vihar. For more information, visit the IRCTC website.
Several trains like Netaji Express, Jat Tata Express, Mahananda Express, Seemanchal Express, Lachhvi Express, Haldia Express are running from Ghaziabad to Prayagraj.
The IRCTC is ensuring world-class facilities for millions of devotees attending the Maha kumbh. Speaking to ANI, Additional District Magistrate Vivek Chaturvedi earlier said, “The transport department has arranged around 5000-6000 buses for the convenience of devotees coming to the Maha kumbh Mela on the peak days. 550 electric buses have been arranged for their convenience. We have started the construction of three temporary bus stands.”
