Dasna: In a stunning exposé, a sprawling government-owned plot in Dasna has fallen prey to unscrupulous land mafias, who have surreptitiously seized it to establish an entire colony. Astonishingly, this tract of land was previously recorded as barren on official records. Now, authorities are gearing up to rectify this anomaly by reinstating its rightful place in the revenue archives. Acting on the issue, the SDM Sadar Court has issued directives to the tehsildar, initiating a much-needed course correction.
Plot thickens: An illicit land transaction involving 41 acres
During the land survey in Dasna, khasra number 2590 was recorded as 41 acres of barren land. Shockingly, this land was unlawfully sold and developed into a thriving colony by land mafias. Presently, over 127 structures stand on this illegally occupied land. To remedy the situation, the district administration has taken a decisive step to free this 200-crore-worth land from the clutches of encroachers.
A long-standing Conspiracy Unveiled
Nearly 70 years ago, fraudulent individuals manipulated the records during a land survey, falsely entitling them to the barren land bearing khasra number 2590 in Dasna. Over the years, this plot has seen the emergence of more than 100 residential structures.
Vinay Kumar Singh, the SDM Sadar, highlighted that during a prior land survey, around 70 years ago, a group of land mafias collectively manipulated the records to register the barren land as their own, a conspiracy that continues to cast its shadow on the region.
Rectification on the horizon
Investigations into the matter have revealed that prior to the 1395 crop season, the land was officially designated as barren, holding khasra number 2302. However, with manipulation, it was transcribed as khasra number 2302, and the name “Nandalal” was substituted during the 1359 crop season.
Following meticulous scrutiny and evidence evaluation, the tehsildar has been directed to rectify this manipulation by re-registering the land as barren. Those who have illegally occupied government land in Dasna will soon receive eviction notices, and if compliance is not swift, the administration, with the assistance of police forces, will reclaim the government land from these encroachers.
