Janpura Seat: BJP’s Tarvinder Singh won the Jangpura seat after defeating AAP’s Manish Sisodia and Congress’s Farhad Suri. Sisodia earlier conceded his defeat, saying, “Party workers fought well; we all did hard work. People have supported us as well. But, I lose by 600 votes. I congratulate the candidate who won. I hope he will work for the constituency.”

In the heart of South East Delhi lies the Jangpura constituency, a locale that has been witnessing a dynamic political shift. Previously regarded as a Congress fortress, Jangpura has, over the years, swung significantly towards the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The current MLA from here is AAP’s Praveen Kumar, who secured the seat back in both the 2015 and 2020 elections, marking it as AAP territory. However, this election season, AAP fielded a new face in Jangpura, making this seat one of intense interest.
