Delhi: Ahead of the scheduled Tata IPL 2025 match between Chennai Super Kings & Rajasthan Royals at Arun Jaitley Stadium today, May 20, 2025, the Delhi traffic Police issued a comprehensive traffic advisory. The advisory, effective from 5.30 pm to midnight, outlines several traffic restrictions and diversions for commuters and spectators. People are advised to use the suggested entry points at the Stadium, parking & ride facility, taxi pickup and drop points to avoid overcrowding.
For public safety and smooth traffic flow, Delhi Police will enforce significant diversions & restrictions at Key stretches such as BSZ Marg, JLN Marg, and Asaf Ali Road. Commuters must plan their journey accordingly, as heavy congestion is expected in the vicinity during the match from 7 pm to 11.30 pm.
Key Diversion Points & Restrictions
– Heavy vehicles and buses are banned entry on the following stretches:
– From Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg
– From Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road
Affected Roads (Both Carriageways)
– JLN Marg: From Rajghat to Delhi Gate up to Kamla Market Roundabout
– Asaf Ali Road: From Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate
– Bahadurshah Zafar Marg: From Delhi Gate to Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk

Gate Nos. 1 to 8: Entry available from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg
Gate Nos. 10 to 15: Entry available from JLN Marg next
Gate Nos. 16 to 18: Entry available from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg near the Petrol Pump
