Important Traffic Update: Check Delhi Police Advisory For Olympic India’s ‘Run For Inclusion’ Event And Routes To Avoid

In another advisory, the Delhi police said that a cycling event will be conducted from Saturday to Tuesday at Rohini Sector-29. The event is likely to cause traffic congestion in the area.

Delhi Police has issued traffic advisories on Thursday for two major events that are scheduled to take place tomorrow and over the next week. Several routes across the city will be affected because of the Run for Inclusion event (November 9) and the cycling segment of the 73rd All India Police Athletic Cluster Championship 2024-2025 (November 9-12).

Run for Inclusion – Morning Event

The Run for Inclusion event organized by Special Olympics Bharat will take place between 7 and 10 am on Saturday with around 10,000 participants. According to the advisory, this event for people with and without intellectual disabilities will commence from the Civil Services/NDMC Officers’ Club and culminate at the same venue, covering a series of main roads.

Route Details: From Civil Services/NDMC Officers’ Club to Panchsheel Marg via Vinay Marg, Niti Marg, and Satya Marg.

  • Panchsheel Marg (traffic not allowed towards Niti-Panchsheel Marg roundabout)
  • Satya Marg (traffic allowed towards Niti Marg-Satya Marg roundabout)
  • Africa Avenue Marg (traffic allowed towards Yaswant Palace)

Alternative Routes: Kautilya Marg and Shanti Path

Cycling Event – Traffic Restrictions From Nov 9 To 12

In another advisory, the Delhi police said that the cycling event will be conducted from Saturday to Tuesday at Rohini Sector-29. The event is likely to cause traffic congestion in the area.

Traffic Management Measures: No Parking Zones

  • Tughlak Road (from Khera Kurd Cut to CNG pump, Rohini Sector-27)
  • BR Ambedkar Marg (from Mahadev Chowk to T-Point Tughlak Road)
  • Rohini Sector-28/29 (both carriageways)

  • Road Blocks:
  • Utsav Marg (connecting with BR Ambedkar Marg)
  • Khera Khurd Road (connecting with Tughlak Road)
  • Khera Kalan Road (connecting with Tughlak Road)
  • Tughlak Road (near Rohini Sector-27 CNG pump)
  • BR Ambedkar Road (at Mahadev Chowk)

Traffic Diversions: Vehicles will be diverted from Mahadev Chowk, Khera Khurd Yamuna Canal, Khera Kalan Yamuna Canal, and Tughlak Road (Rohini Sector-27).

Note: Vehicles parked on affected roads will be towed so that the event traffic is not hindered in any way.
