Delhi Metro’s Golden Line: 26 KM Route, 15 Stations And Chhattarpur Interchange; Here’s How It Will Benefit Gurugram Commuters

Golden Line is an under construction and 10th official line of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). It will run from Aerocity to Tughlakabad.

Delhi Metro Golden Line: There is a major update regarding the Golden line of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Tunnel breakthrough for the Golden metro line was held at Vasant Kunj metro station on Thursday. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was present during the task. He informed that the task was successful and congratulated the officials of DMRC. The Golden line running between Aerocity and Tughlakabad is an upcoming project of DMRC.

Golden Line Set To Transform Commuter Experience

The Golden metro line is of 26 km and will benefit commuters of Delhi and Gurugram in Haryana. Metro is considered the lifeline of the bustling city of Delhi. It is one of the easiest and convenient ways to travel in Delhi. Union Minister Khattar added that this line will benefit the commuters of Gurugram and ease their travel experience.

Interestingly, there will be an interchange facility for Golden line at Chhattarpur metro station. Khattar said that the Chhattarpur interchange will allow Gurugram commuters to board this metro line. He further informed that the Golden line will also benefit commuters travelling to Jahangirpuri and Old Delhi. Upon its completion, commuters of Ballabgarh and ISBT will also be benefitted.

Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said, ” DMRC’s (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) one more project, which is Aerocity to Tughlakabad, Golden line. The tunnel breakthrough programme for this project has been held here. I want to thank the officials of DMRC and all the officials associated with this. This is a metro line of 26 km…at Chhattarpur metro station, there will be an interchange facility for the Golden Line, so people from Gurugram will also be able to board this metro line…”

More About Golden Line

Golden Line is an under construction and 10th official line of Delhi Metro. It is reported to have 15 stations which are: Delhi Aerocity, Mahipalpur, Vasant Kunj, Kishangarh, Chhatarpur, Chhattarpur Mandir, IGNOU, Neb Sarai, Saket G-Block, Ambedkar Nagar, Khanpur, Sangam Vihar – Tigri, Anandmayee Marg Junction, Tughlakabad Railway Colony and Tughlakabad. It will feature elevated and underground stations.

 It was earlier designated as the Silver line. The colour code was changed in 2023 and officially named as the ‘Golden Line’ in 2024.
