Greater Noida is facing a rising issue of illegal hoardings and posters on almost every corner and intersection. Not only are these posters found in the markets, but also at the entrances of sectors. Despite complaints, the Greater Noida Authority (GNIDA) has failed to take any significant action against them.
In areas like Delta-1 Labor Chowk, Ryan School, Rampur Market, Amritpuram, and major roundabouts, illegal hoardings have become a common sight. These posters are taking away the city’s beauty, and in some places, they are even covering direction signboards. The Greater Noida Authority has conducted periodic drives to remove these hoardings, but there is little effect on the ground.
Hoards of Hoardings for Over a Month
Illegal hoardings have been visible for over a month in areas like Delta-1 Labor Chowk, Ryan School, Rampur Market, Amritpuram, LG Chowk, and Pari Chowk, but no noticeable action has been taken. Even after social media activists raised the issue, authorities have not responded.
Illegal Hoardings in Noida East and West
The situation is not limited to one part of Greater Noida. Both the East and West areas of Greater Noida are filled with illegal hoardings. Harendra Bhati, a member of the Active Citizen Team, mentioned that a complaint was filed with the Urban Services Department 15 days ago regarding hoardings at roundabouts, but no action has been taken so far.
Posters on Direction Boards
Social worker Sardar Manjeet Singh highlighted that some people have even placed posters on direction boards, further damaging the city’s appearance. This widespread presence of illegal hoardings is not only ruining the city’s aesthetic appeal but also causing revenue loss for the Greater Noida Authority. Unfortunately, responsible authorities are not paying enough attention to the situation.
Action Expected Soon
Despite the growing issue, Greater Noida Authority officials have remained silent. However, sources suggest that the authority is planning to launch a drive soon to remove these illegal hoardings and posters. People are hoping to see some ground-level action soon.
