British-era Police station in Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar is a district that was formed by carving out some areas of Ghaziabad and Bulandshahr districts. Relatively, It is a new district but one of its police stations is still working here with old British-era practices.

Even today, law and order are maintained in Noida and Greater Noida through the police stations set up by the British. You will be surprised to know that Bisrakh Kotwali was built during the British period. Many signs of the British era can be seen clearly in the police station building.

British Era seal is still there

Even today, the British-era seal is present in Bisrakh Kotwali. The seal, weighing more than 200 grams, has “Bisarkh Kotwali Varsh 1933 District Bulandshahr” written in English.

The British-era building located in Bisrakh village is still present in which the present-day Kotwali is functioning. Over time, additional rooms and police houses have been built in the Kotwali premises, but the houses and stables built during the British period are still present. Now there are no horses in this stable. This stable has been converted into a police barrack.

The Policemen working there do practice some of the norms that were made during British rule.

The building was built strategically

During the British period, the spark of rebellion against the British flared up in Bulandshahr as well. Due to Bisarkh being a Gujjar-dominated area, the British were always under threat of attack on Kotwali. In such a situation, the British built the building in such a way that there were embus on the four corners of the building. Sitting in which the soldier could see the enemy or man coming from many kilometers away and could fire from there in the event of an attack on the police station.
