One more arrest has been made in the brutal murder case of Nikki, a resident of Sirsa village in Greater Noida, who was allegedly killed by her husband, Vipin Bhati, on August 21, 2025. Nikki was initially rushed to Noida’s Fortis Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries while being transferred to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital. Following the incident, police arrested Bhati and registered a case against his family members. So far, Bhati, his mother, and one more accused have been taken into custody as the investigation continues. The accused husband, Vipin Bhati, has been sent to a Judicial Custody of 14 days.

Nikki and her elder sister Kanchan tied the knot to brothers Vipin and Rohit, respectively, in 2016, but just after 6 months of marriage, their in-laws started torturing them for more dowry.
