Greater Noida: The incidents relating to the elevators in the housing society are rising and in the latest, a similar incident has come to forth where as many as 6 people were trapped in a lift for 30 minutes.

The incident took place in the Eco Village One society of Greater Noida West where the elevator entrapped a few people. As per the information, the elevator halted suddenly after the people felt a jolt. The lift stopped between the floors.

A resident informed that there were about 5 to 6 people in the lift, then there was a sudden jerk in the lift and the lift went down rapidly and the lift stopped between the basement and the ground, reported Dainik Bhaskar.

Panic Inside the Elevator 

The resident further informed that there arose a sense of panic inside the lift among the occupants as they hoped for the help immediately. However, it could not have happened until 30 minutes.

After the occupants were brought out of the life inconviniently, they created a ruckus there, blaming the authoirities of such difficculties in the society. They alleged that despite paying huge rents and maintainance money, they are provided with no facilities.

Woman Died in Similar Incident 

A few days back, a 73-year-old woman had died due to a similar incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida. As per the information, cable of a lift snapped in a society that led to its free fall when the woman was alone in the lift. After which, the woman died due to possible cardiac arrest.
