Greater Noida: Commuters in Greater Noida (West) are expected to get relief from heavy traffic woes soon as the authorities have intensified their efforts to address severe congestion in several areas. Officials on Wednesday said that the revamping work in Char Murti Chowk will start soon to accommodate the increasing flow of traffic.
To alleviate the persistent traffic jams, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has rolled out a series of measures between Char Murti Chowk and Ek Murti roundabout. The plans include reducing the size of the chowk, expansion of road width, etc. Additionally, the authorities are considering measures to manage the parking and movement of autos & e-rickshaws, reports said.

According to reports, the construction of U-turns and service road expansions near Gaur City 1 and 2 is expected to reduce delays due to traffic. One U-turn will facilitate seamless movement of vehicles from Gaur City to Tigri roundabout, while another will ease travel from Noida to Gaur City.
Plans to build an underpass at the Char Murti Chowk is also on the line-up. Pre-construction activities such as relocation of sewer lines, electrical cables and gas pipelines are underway, GNIDA added.
