Noida: Residents of Noida Sector-18 and Sector-20 have a reason to rejoice as a positive development is on the horizon. The Yamuna Authority has initiated the creation of 23 parks in these two sectors, with work already underway. The target date for the completion of all 23 parks is set for September 30, 2023. These parks are currently undergoing planting and landscaping activities, including tree planting and the cultivation of lush grass.
A scheme unveiled in 2009
Dr. Arunveer Singh, the CEO of Yamuna Authority, revealed that a residential scheme for 21,000 plots was launched by the authority in 2009. This scheme encompasses plots ranging from 300 to 4,000 square meters.
The allocation process for residents of Sector-18 and Sector-20 has commenced, indicating that soon inhabitants will begin occupying these plots. As a result, plans are in place to create parks to cater to the needs of the residents in these sectors.
Rapid progress expected by September 30
The development of a total of 23 large parks has begun in both sectors. The establishment of boundaries, along with tree plantation and grass installation, is currently in progress for all these parks. The parks are being adorned with a variety of plant species, including shade-giving trees and fruit-bearing plants.
Each of the 23 parks is being designed uniquely to provide diverse recreational opportunities. The Hearticulture Department of the authority has been directed to ensure that all parks are fully ready by September 30, 2023, or even earlier if possible.
The creation of these parks signifies a promising initiative that will contribute to enhancing the living environment for the residents of Noida. As the landscaping efforts continue, the residents can look forward to vibrant green spaces that will soon become integral parts of their daily lives.
