Greater Noida West: In response to persistent traffic jams in Greater Noida West, the authorities have initiated the construction of a new U-turn near Iteda. According to reports, the U-turn on the 130-meter road, expected to start its operations next month is now in the final stages.
Relief For Crossing Republic, Shahberi & Iteda
The project was undertaken in response to heavy traffic on the 130-meter road, particularly after the Perthala flyover’s inauguration. Work to close the Iteda roundabout and make new U-turns on both sides to ease congestion is nearing completion.
Authorities said, “This U-turn will be opened in the next 10 to 15 days, providing relief to vehicles heading towards Crossing Republic, Shahberi, and Iteda.” Besides, an underpass plan is being planned to deal with the traffic snarls at Gaur City.
Demand For Red Light Installation
The new system will enable the vehicles to enter the Char Murti roundabout from the U-turn in front of the Sector-16B petrol pump. Also, incoming traffic from the Ek Murti roundabout will be able to utilize the new U-turn. It will help them head directly to Shahberi and Crossing Republic. In light of the heavy traffic jams in Greater Noida West, residents have demanded the installation of red lights.
