Greater Noida: Good News! People in NCR cities Faridabad and Greater Noida may soon get some respite from heavy traffic jams as the Haryana Government has reportedly approved the ground-breaking Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway project. Once operational, the FNG Expressway will connect three key NCR cities. Construction work will soon commence as the map has also been passed.
Minister Vipul Goel Shares Details Of New Project
Minister for Civil Aviation of Haryana, Vipul Goel, shared about this upcoming game-changer expressway project in a press conference on the State’s budget. Around one lakh commuters travel daily from Faridabad to Noida/Ghaziabad. People usually take Kalindi Kunj road in Delhi to go to NCR cities. However, due to the lack of a direct route connecting these cities, they have to face heavy traffic jams for hours. Under these circumstances, the 10-minute journey takes almost one and a half hours to complete.
Key Details Of FNG Expressway
Reports stated that at least 70 percent of the work that is a 17-km-long route of the expressway in Noida has been finished. The project aims to link three major cities of the National Capital Region. The 23-km-long expressway will start from Chhijarsi in Noida Sector 63 and extend till Yamuna, crossing the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The stretch will meet National Highway 9 In Faridabad’s Lalpur Village, passing through Soharkha, Chhijarsi, Bahlolpur, Noida Sector 112, 140, 168.
600-M-Long Bridge On Yamuna
The authorities have also proposed to build a 600-meter bridge on the Yamuna near Lalpur village. This bridge will start from Mangaroli village at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore. The cost of construction will be bore equally by Haryana and UP government. Additionally, talks are on to build a 500-meter-long bridge on Yamuna, starting from Sector 28 Amrita Hospital via Dadasia.
