Bhojpur: A distressing case of rape has emerged involving a woman residing in the Bhojpur police station area. The perpetrator, Irfan, exploited his friendship with the woman’s brother-in-law, taking advantage of a chance situation.
He surreptitiously recorded a video of the woman while she was bathing and subsequently used this video to coerce her into sexual exploitation. The sinister ordeal began with Irfan blackmailing her by threatening to release the video publicly.
Details of the Incident
The incident revolves around the close bond between a woman’s brother-in-law and Irfan, a youth from a different community. Irfan frequented their residence and capitalized on an opportunity to record a video of the woman while she was bathing. On another occasion, he menacingly entered her house, exploiting the situation by threatening to expose the video and subsequently sexually assaulting her.
This pattern of exploitation continued as Irfan subjected her to repeated acts of rape while wielding the threat of making the video viral. Each time the victim attempted to voice her agony, he silenced her with threats and physical abuse.

The Turning Point
A few days prior to the incident coming to light, Irfan once again visited the woman’s house with intentions to extort her. This time, however, the woman bravely raised her voice and created a commotion. Startled by her defiance, Irfan fled from the scene. Upon returning home, she confided in her husband, recounting the horrifying experience. Outraged by the revelation, her husband confronted Irfan, only to be met with threats of violence.
Allegations and Outrage
The victim asserts that Irfan’s mobile contained explicit material featuring other women and girls, including pornography. Hindu Yuva Vahini General Secretary Neeraj Sharma and Madhur Nehra were informed of the incident, but allege that the police attempted to downplay the matter by charging Irfan with breach of peace rather than addressing the grave offense. Incensed by the lack of appropriate action, activists protested vehemently at the Bhojpur police station.
Legal Action
Amidst mounting pressure, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) assured that the authorities have initiated action against Irfan based on the victim’s complaint. He is facing charges including rape and other relevant sections of the law. The
