New Delhi: Ahead of the G20 Summit, the officials have informed that passengers would not be allowed to board and disembark from the Supreme Court metro station on September 9 and 10. As per the authorities, that Delhi Metro services will start at 4am from terminus on all network lines from September 8 to 10 ahead of the G20 summit, reported the news agency PTI. In its late-night update, the DMRC added that all metro stations will remain open to the public from September 8 to 10, with the exception of the Supreme Court metro station where Passengers will not be allowed to board and debaord on September 9 and 10 for security reasons. It is worth noting that Supreme Court Metro Station is the closest station to Pragati Maidan, where the grand summit will take place. However, according to the guidance of the security agencies, access to certain stations may be regulated for a short time in the New Delhi district from 9-10 September to facilitate movement of the VVIP delegations, the DMRC said.

No Parking Zone

Parking facilities at Supreme Court, Patel Chowk and R K Ashram Marg metro stations will be closed from 4 AM on September 8 till noon on September 11, it said. The move to start metro services early is to facilitate the movement of the general public, police personnel and staff from other assisting agencies deployed to maintain security, law and order, and traffic arrangements, for the upcoming G20 Summit. The mega event is slated to be held from September 9-10 at the newly-built international convention and exhibition centre — Bharat Mandapam — at Pragati Maidan.
