4.4-Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Haryana, Strong Tremors Felt In Delhi-NCR

Earthquake hits Delhi/NCR

Haryana: An earthquake of 4.4 magnitude jolted Haryana on Thursday around 9.04 am. Meanwhile, strong tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR and the adjoining areas. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicentre in Jhajjar. There are no immediate reports of any damage or casualties as of now. According to initial information, tremors lasted for a few seconds, creating panic among the residents.

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in a post on X, advised citizens to “follow some dos and don’ts to ensure your safety before, during, and after an earthquake.”

Social media buzzed with posts from netizens who shared their reactions and experiences. An X user wrote, “Strong #earthquake tremors shake #DelhiNCR again! Nature’s wrath is loud & clear this year—quakes, floods, fires. Maybe it’s time we reflect: more sin, more consequence.” Another user wrote, “People in Gurugram & Delhi NCR rushing out of their homes right now after experiencing strong tremors of an earthquake!” Meanwhile, a third user commented, “Delhi: that’s the longest earthquake I’ve felt in a VERY long time.”
