Aryan Maan DUSU: Aryan Maan of the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad won a decisive victory in the Delhi University Students’ Union elections, returning ABVP to power. He secured the post with a margin of 16,000 votes. In the Vice President’s contest, NSUI’s Rahul Jhansla secured a major win with 29,339 votes, defeating ABVP’s Govind Tanwa, who polled 20,547. AISA-SFI’s Sohan garnered 4,163 votes. After his major victory, Aryan Maan spoke about his first priority for university students. He said he aims to secure concessional metro passes and shared details of his discussion with Delhi CM Rekha Gupta on the matter.

After the victory, DUSU president Aryan Maan said that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has assured concessional metro passes for university students. This was a key demand raised during the campaign. He had also promised financial assistance for final-year research scholars. He said that students’ participation in DUSU polls showed that claims of Gen-Z being disinterested in campus politics were misplaced. Additionally, free Wi-Fi across the campus, accessibility audits, and better sports facilities were also included in ABVP’s manifesto.

Aryan Maan completed his B.Com from Hansraj College in 2025. His popularity grew from there, making him one of the most talked-about candidates this year. He even received support and cheers from students with different political affiliations. His grandfather was a wrestler, while his father and uncles also practised wrestling. His grandfather was a leader of the Lova satrah khap. His uncles were also into the liquor business and had previously been associated with former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

The NSUI accused the ABVP of vote tampering in the September 2025 elections. NSUI candidate Joslyn Nandita Choudhary claimed a blue ink mark was placed in front of Aryan Maan’s name on EVMs at Hansraj and Kirori Mal colleges, suggesting manipulation.
