A shocking Incident has come to light where a mother and son were found murdered with a sharp weapon in southeast Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar. Reportedly, the murder was carried out late at night. As the door was locked, the family members called the police, after which they broke open the door and entered the house, which revealed that the woman’s body was found in the bedroom while her son’s body was found in the bathroom.
It is said that a PCR call was received at 9:43 pm on July 2, 2025 from Mr Kuldeep who is 44 years old and lives in Lajpat Nagar-I, during the call he told that his wife and son is not responding his calls. Door is closed and there are blood stain at the gate and on the stairs.
Upon receiving the call PCR and IO reached the location where caller Shri Kuldeep, informed that there were visible blood stains on the staircase and the his wife and son are not answering his calls. Meanwhile SHO also reached the spot and the gate was forcibly opened. Inside the premises, dead bodies of a woman and a child were found.
The Body of the Woman has been identified as Smt. Ruchika Sewani who was 42 years old, wife of Mr Kuldeep who called the police. She runs a garment shop at Lajpat Nagar market along with his husband. The other boy found dead has been identified as their son Krish Sewani who was 14 years old and a student of class 10th.
Main accused Mukesh aged 24 years is a permanent resident of Hajipur, who currently resides at Amar colony, he was apprehended while he was on the run. He works as a driver/shop helper at the garment shop. During interrogation, the servant said that he committed the double murder because the lady had scolded him.
Further investigation is underway. A detailed briefing will be done in due time.
