Faridabad: In Haryana’s Faridabad, a man alleged that he was trapped into a fake theft case by a local politician as he did not vote for him in the elections. He said the sarpanch’s cousin accused him of stealing Rs 20 lakh.
After which, the police have taken legal action against the person who gave the false complaint.
Contacted 112 to report a theft
Vijay Kumar, a resident of Tajpur village, contacted 112 to report that Rs 20 lakh had been taken from his home, according to police spokeswoman Sube Singh. The police squad arrived at the scene as soon as they received the information, and the police station was notified.
Vijay filed a written complaint at the police station on August 14 after being asked to do so by the complainant. On his grandson’s birthday, August 13, about nine o’clock, he was said to have left the house. When he returned, the items in the bed were dispersed and the 20 lakh rupees he had kept there after selling one of his plots was gone.
In the investigation, it was discovered that the complaint was untrue.
Bijendra and his two kids, Sunny and Bobby, were charged with stealing by Vijay Kumar. The police crew arrived and surveyed the area, according to the allegation. Following this, both parties were summoned to the police station for questioning.
According to the police inquiry, Vijay Kumar had filed a fraudulent complaint. In actuality, Pawan, the son of Vijay Kumar’s uncle, ran in the Panchayat elections and was elected Sarpanch.
Vijay started harboring resentment toward Bijendra after learning that the latter did not support his brother in the election, so he staged this entire incident to cast false suspicion on him. The cops intervened once the full truth was revealed.
