Delhi Weather Update: When Will It Rain? City Braces For Rising Temperatures – Check Forecast For Next 5 Days

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, carry an umbrella, and cover themselves when going out, as the temperatures may peak during May. The sky will be partly cloudy and the temperature may hit up to 40 degrees Celsius on the 1st of May.

Delhi Weather Update: No larger change in minimum and maximum temperatures over Delhi was observed during the past 24 hours. Heat wave conditions prevailed in Lodi Road & Ridge on the first day. While the maximum temperatures stayed in the range between 42 to 43°C, the minimum temperatures reached up to 24°C. Amidst the ongoing hot weather conditions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted a rise in maximum temperatures in the national capital by about 2°C during the next 2 days.

Delhi Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days

According to the Met Department, there will be a partly cloudy sky in Delhi today with occasional sustained surface winds, blowing at a speed of 10 to 20 Km/h and later gusting up to 30 Km/h. Additionally, IMD has issued a yellow alert for a heat wave in the city today. Similar weather conditions will be witnessed on April 27, 2025, with maximum temperatures reaching up to 42 degrees Celsius. Residents can expect no heat wave conditions over Delhi till May 1, 2025.

On April 28, Delhiites will wake up to a partly cloudy sky. Thereafter, on April 29 and April 30, the weather will remain partly cloudy with strong surface winds, blowing at a speed of 20 to 30 Km/h. As we step into May, no larger change in maximum or minimum temperatures will be witnessed. The sky will be partly cloudy and the temperature may hit up to 40 degrees Celsius on the 1st of May.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, carry an umbrella, and cover themselves when going out, as the temperatures may peak during May. The current weather conditions, on the other hand, may be attributed to an active western disturbance and two upper cyclonic circulations.

Here are some precautionary measures to protect yourself during the heat wave: Avoid heat exposure, wear lightweight, light colored, loose cotton clothes, cover your head, use a cloth, hat, or umbrella.

When Will It Rain in Delhi/NCR?

Monsoon arrives in Delhi usually around 25 June. Residents can expect rain in the capital in June.
