Delhi Weather Update: Delhi continues to bear the brunt of ‘toxic’ air after a brief improvement in the pollution levels. The capital woke up to a biting chill on Saturday morning, with smog blanketing several locations. Meanwhile, the Air Quality Index (AQI) plunged to 333 under the ‘very poor’ category today, December 6, 2025, at 7 am. Amid a sharp dip in temperature, most of the residents avoided outdoor exercise.
Several monitoring stations, however, reported AQI readings in the ‘poor’ range during the early morning hours on Saturday. The area around ITO was shrouded by a layer of toxic smog as the AQI dipped to 344 under the ‘very poor’ category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

AQI readings in other areas of Delhi Today
Wazirpur registered an AQI of 288 under the ‘poor’ category this morning, while the air quality slipped to 239 in Sonia Vihar. ‘Poor’ AQI of 221 was also recorded in the Chandni Chowk area at 7 am today.
AQI plunged to 309 in Jahangirpuri, while nsit Dwarka recorded an air quality index of 237 at 7 am on December 6. The other areas include Rohini (298), Bawana (280), Vivek Vihar (177), Patparganj (269), Nehru Nagar (299), Siri Fort (227), Ashok Vihar (285), Okhla Phase 2 (239), Lodhi Road 2 (199), Najafgarh (187), and Sri Aurobindo Marg (206).
Delhi weather forecast for next 5 days
The Air quality is unlikely to improve anytime soon in the national capital region. There is no forecast for rain in the next six days. Delhi will see a partly cloudy sky on December 7, with shallow fog shrouding the city during the morning hours.
Mainly clear sky along with shallow fog is expected over the capital on December 8. Thereafter, on the 9th, skies will mostly remain partly cloudy. Thereafter, shallow fog will continue to blanket the city until December 11.

Delhi AQI: Check forecast for next two days
According to the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi, the air quality will likely be in the ‘very poor’ category until December 8, 2025. The outlook for the subsequent 6 Days shows the AQI in the ‘very poor’ category.
