Delhi Weather Update: Temperature Nears 40°C, Heat Intensifies In Capital; Check Forecast For Next 5 Days

The maximum and minimum temperatures are currently in the range of 38 to 40°C and 17 to 20°C respectively. Strong surface winds will prevail during the day with speed of 10-20 km/h on Thursday.

Delhi Weather Update: The maximum temperature in Delhi is nearing 40 degrees Celsius. Days have turned significantly hotter in the month of March. The maximum and minimum temperatures are currently in the range of 38 to 40°C and 17 to 20°C respectively. On Wednesday, March 26, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39 degrees Celsius. The rising temperatures have raised concern among the residents regarding the weather conditions in upcoming summer months. Based on the data recorded so far, the maximum temperature is expected to increase further by the end of March.

Forecast For Thursday, March 27

Delhi residents will experience hot day on Thursday, March 27. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted maximum temperature to remain 38 degrees Celsius. Strong surface winds will prevail during the day with speed of 10-20 km/h. The sky is expected to remain mainly clear and no other specific warning has been issued by the IMD regarding today’s weather.

Delhi Weather Update: Forecast For Next 5 Days

Talking about how the weather will be in coming days, the IMD forecast tells us of rising temperatures and hot conditions. The maximum temperature has been predicted to remain in the range of 36-38 degrees Celsius. It is expected to remain 35 degrees Celsius on 28th and 29th March. A temperature of 36°C is forecasted for 30th March. March will end with a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius, which is expected on 31st March.

Along with the rising temperatures, strong surface winds prevail over the national capital from 27th to 30th March. The speed of these winds will vary from day to day. Clear sky conditions have been predicted until 31st March, except for March 29, when it will remain partly cloudy.

AQI In Delhi

The air quality in the national capital continues to remain in the ‘poor’ category. The AQI was recorded at 244 on Thursday at 6 am, according to the CPCB.
