Delhi Weather Update: Residents witnessed the arrival of warmer days in the national capital this month. Amid the increasing heat, parts of the city remain shrouded in mist during the early morning hours. A rise in temperatures, reaching above 30 degrees celsius, was reported in different areas of Delhi/NCR. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts a significant change in weather patterns in the coming days.
A sharp rise in minimum temperatures with no larger change in maximum temperatures was reported during the past 24 hours in Delhi. The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded in the range of 31 to 33°C and 15 to 19°C, respectively. The weather remained partly clouded yesterday with south easterly winds blowing at a speed of less than 15 Kmph.

According to IMD, a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from the night of 12th March 2025. As a result, light rain is expected to bring a shift in the air quality, which is currently in the ‘poor’ category.
Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days
On the 12th of March, partly cloudy weather is expected with strong surface winds traveling at a speed of 20 to 30 kmph in the capital. Thereafter, on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of March, there is a possibility of very light rain or drizzle in Delhi with a generally cloudy sky. The weather will remain partly cloudy on 16th March with misty likely during the morning.

AQI In Delhi
An Air Quality Index of 231 under the ‘poor’ category was recorded at 6 am on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, compared to a lower AQI of 195 recorded yesterday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
