Delhi Weather Update: Temperature Drops, Bringing Much-Needed Relief From Heat – What To Expect Over Next 5 Days?

There are chances that a heatwave might follow from mid-April, similar to that of May and June. Additionally, a Western Disturbance, seen as a trough, is likely to impact Northwest India in the coming days.

Delhi Weather Update: The national capital witnessed no large change in minimum temperatures over the past 24 hours. However, the maximum temperatures signaled a shift in weather patterns with a notable drop in the maximum temperatures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the minimum temperatures remained above normal by 2 to 4°C on Friday, while the maximum
temperatures stayed normal over most places in Delhi. The weather conditions are expected to remain similar, with no heatwave likely for the next few days.

Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days

Residents will witness a partly cloudy sky today, on 29th March 2025, with maximum temperatures soaring up to 32 to 34°C and minimum temperatures remaining between 14-16°C. The weather will offer Delhiites some respite from the scorching sun. The coming days will, however, undergo a significant change, with maximum temperatures rising to 38 degrees Celsius. On the 30th and 31st of March, residents will wake up to clear skies with temperatures reaching up to 36 and 37°C, respectively.

Thereafter, on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of April, IMD forecasts a clear sky with maximum temperatures going up to 38 degrees celsius. With this, March is expected to end with no large change in maximum temperature. There are chances that a heatwave might follow from mid-April, similar to that of May and June. Additionally, a Western Disturbance, seen as a trough, is likely to impact Northwest India in the coming days. Meanwhile, today, on 29th March, strong surface winds will blow at a speed of 16 to 20 kmph over the national capital.

AQI In Delhi

An Air Quality Index of 159 under the ‘moderate’ category was recorded at 6 am on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Meanwhile, a higher AQI of 234 was recorded yesterday under the ‘poor category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
