Due to an active western disturbance, there will be generally cloudy skies with very light to light rain or drizzle, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds from 4th to 8th May. The air quality, on the other hand, shifted to the ‘moderate’ category on Saturday morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI was recorded at 127 at 6 am on May 3.

Significant changes were observed over the past 24 hours, with the minimum temperatures being below normal by 05-08°C and maximum temperatures being markedly below normal by 10-12°C over Delhi. Additionally, Westerly surface wind prevailed at 20-25 kmph gusting to 74 kmph over Delhi. According to IMD, these weather changes can be attributed to a mix of systems that created conditions for thunderstorms. Rain, which was supposed to bring respite to the residents, led to considerable challenges for the residents.
