Delhi Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted partly cloudy sky over Delhi on Wednesday, 19 March. Strong surface winds, with speed of 10-20 km/h, occasionally gusting to 30 km/h are expected during the day. While the partly cloudy sky condition might bring slight changes, the maximum temperature will remain at 32 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is expected at 16 degrees Celsius. No other specific warning has been issued by the IMD regarding Delhi’s weather.
Mild Transition To Warmer Days
The weather in Delhi is currently undergoing a transition, with days becoming warmer. Cold spell in the national capital has ended and the weather has now become milder. Temperature has started rising, reaching above 30 degrees Celsius. The IMD has further predicted the maximum temperature to soar to 36 degrees Celsius this week. This data indicates a rise in maximum temperatures, which is expected to increase further by the end of March. Moreover, other parts of the country have already started to experience heat wave.
According to IMD’s observation, there has been fall in minimum temperatures and rise maximum temperatures over Delhi-NCR during the past 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are in the range of 29 to 32°C and 13 to 16°C respectively.

Delhi Weather Update: Forecast For This Week
Delhi will witness clear sky from Friday, 21st March to Monday, 24th March. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 32-34 degrees Celsius from 20th March to 24th March. It is expected to touch 36 degrees Celsius on 24th March. The minimum temperature in coming days will remain between 18-20 degrees Celsius. The data indicates that warmer days are ahead for Delhi, with temperatures expected to rise significantly this week. There is no chance of precipitation in Delhi this week.

AQI In Delhi
The air quality in the national capital continues to remain in the ‘moderate’ category. On Wednesday, at 6 am the AQI was recorded at 143, according to the CPCB. Favourable meteorological conditions have been attributed to the improvement in the air quality levels.
