Rising temperatures may cause heat-related conditions like heatstroke, dehydration, and heat exhaustion. Therefore, residents must stay hydrated and cover themselves properly when outdoors, particularly during the daytime.

Delhi Weather Update: Residents of Delhi must brace for challenging days ahead as the temperature is expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius by April 10. Over the next few days, an intense heatwave is forecasted across Northwest India as the mercury will climb in different places. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported no significant change in maximum temperatures over the national capital during the past 24 hours.

Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days

On Saturday, 5th April, the skies will mostly remain clear, with temperatures soaring up to 38 to 40 degrees Celsius. Additionally, surface winds traveling at a speed of 10 to 20 Kmph and occasionally gusting to 30 Kmph are expected during the daytime. Thereafter, on the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th of April, IMD has predicted a clear sky in the city. By the end of this week, the maximum temperatures will rise to 39 to 41 degrees Celsius. IMD Warns Against Western Disturbance

At the same time, the Met Body has issued a warning for a fresh Western Disturbance, set to impact the Western Himalayan Region from 8th April. Residents might experience temporary relief under its influence, however, the overall weather conditions will continue to remain hot. This means the increasing temperatures in Delhi/NCR are unlikely to ease any time soon.

Cover Yourself, Stay Hydrated!

Rising temperatures may cause heat-related conditions like heatstroke, dehydration, and heat exhaustion. Therefore, residents must stay hydrated and cover themselves properly when outdoors, particularly during the daytime. Don’t forget to include water-rich fruits and vegetables such as watermelon, cucumber, etc, in your diet. Elderly people, children, and people with chronic illness should especially take necessary precautions as they are at higher risk.
