Delhi Weather Update: Delhi on Friday was drenched in colours and rainfall that occurred in the evening. Despite the rainfall, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius (highest till now in March). The rains brought along cold winds, making the weather pleasant for residents. Drizzle/ Thunderstorm occurred at isolated places with south easterly winds with speed less than 15 Kmph prevailed during the past 24 hours. Light showers will continue today as well. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain over the national capital on Saturday, 15 March.
Forecast For Today, 15 March
According to the IMD forecast, the sky will remain generally cloudy today. Very light to light rain accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds will prevail in Delhi. The maximum and minimum temperatures will remain 24 and 17 degrees Celsius respectively. No other specific warning regarding Delhi’s weather conditions have been issued by the IMD.
IMD observed that there has been slight fall in minimum temperatures and no large change in maximum temperatures over Delhi-NCR during the past 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are in the range of 33 to 36°C and 17 to 18°C respectively.

Delhi Weather Update: Outlook For Next 5 Days
The maximum temperature is expected to reach up to 35 degrees Celsius on 19 and 20th March. It is expected to remain in the range of 32 to 34°C on other days. Partly cloudy sky has been predicted on 16th and 17th March. The sky will start turning clear from 18th March. There is possibility of light rain/ drizzle on 16th March with mist during morning hours.

AQI In Delhi
The air quality in the national capital is in ‘moderate’ category. The AQI was recorded 122 at 6 am on Saturday, according to the CPCB. Favourable meteorological conditions like rain, fog free sky, strong surface winds have led to the improvement in the air quality.
