In a recent move, Delhi Traffic Police and the Public Works Department (PWD) jointly carried out key changes to ease traffic along Vikas Marg. In light of the challenges faced by commuters on a daily basis between ITO and Karkari Mor, the authorities have removed three out of the five red lights on the stretch. As part of the plan, four back-to-back U-Turns have also been strategically created for smooth flow of traffic movement

According to DCP Rajeev Kumar Rawal for East Delhi Traffic, a 2-kilometer-long stretch near Laxmi Nagar faces heavy traffic daily. This is due to the presence of residential and market areas near it.
