Delhi Traffic Alert: Traffic restrictions will be in place in Delhi on Sunday, April 13. Vehicular movement will be restricted in view of the IPL 2025 match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Delhi Traffic Police has issued traffic advisory and stated that traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place on April 13 from 5:30 PM to midnight. Key stretches like BSZ Marg, JLN Marg and Asaf Ali Road are expected to be affected by the traffic. Commuters are advised to follow the traffic advisory to avoid any inconvenience. Delhi Traffic Police stated that restrictions will be implemented in and around the stadium to ensure the convenience and safety of the general public.
Delhi Traffic Police informed about the update through a post on X. “In view of the TATA IPL 2025 match between Delhi Capitals & Mumbai Indians at Arun Jaitley Stadium, traffic restrictions & diversions will be in place on 13.04.2025 from 05:30 PM to Midnight. Key stretches like BSZ Marg, JLN Marg & Asaf Ali Road may be affected. Kindly follow the advisory,” wrote Delhi Traffic Police.
Traffic Diversion/Restrictions:
Diversions on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg.
No heavy vehicles and buses will be allowed on the following stretches:
- From Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg.
- From Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road.
Commuters are advised to avoid the following roads from 05:30 PM to 12:00 Midnight on the match, added Delhi Traffic Police.
Delhi Traffic Alert: Affected Roads
Following roads will be affected:
• JLN Marg – Rajghat to Delhi Gate up to Kamla Market Roundabout (both carriageways)
• Asaf Ali Road – Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate.
• Bahadurshah Zafar Marg – Delhi Gate to Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk (both carriageways)
Parking
Free Parking and Park and Ride Facility will be available at:
- Mata Sundari Road
- Rajghat Power House Road
- Velodrome Road
Shuttle service will operate from these parking sites to the stadium for spectators.
Delhi Traffic Police has also made arrangements for Labeled Vehicle Parking:
• Only labeled vehicles will be allowed to park near the stadium.
•Display of parking label on the windscreen is mandatory with vehicle number and driver/owner’s mobile number.
• Vehicles without valid labels will not be allowed in the vicinity of the stadium.
Entry To The Stadium:
Spectators can use following gates to enter the Arun Jaitley Stadium:
• Gate Nos. 1 to 8:
Located on the Southern side of the stadium Entry from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg.
• Gate Nos. 10 to 15:
Located on the Eastern side of the stadium Entry from JLN Marg next to Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal.
• Gate Nos. 16 to 18:
Located on the Western side of the stadium Entry from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg near Petrol Pump.
