Meanwhile, in Noida, to tackle traffic congestion, the Noida traffic police have prepared SOS traffic diversion plans. The diversion plans have been made for Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, 130-metre road, and Surajpur. These routes usually face excessive traffic pressure. The Noida traffic police announced about the new plan on Monday and added that all traffic personnel have been informed about it. They have been also acquainted with the circumstances in which the plan should be applied.
Deputy Commissioner of police (traffic) Lakhan Singh Yadav stated that as many as 22 emergency traffic diversion points for key routes in Noida and Greater Noida have been created. Notably, most of these points fall under Noida Expressway. This is so because the traffic pressure remains particularly heavy on that stretch.
The emergency traffic diversion will be used when traffic personnel detect congestion which is about to build up or in a gridlock situation. These restrictions can also be implemented during VIP movements on specific routes.
