Delhi Traffic Alert: Avoid THESE key roads near Red Fort until December 13 – check diversions and parking

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic movement is currently affected on the Netaji Subhash Marg and Nishad Raj Marg due to a heavy footfall and increased vehicular movement. In a comprehensive traffic advisory on Sunday, the Delhi Traffic Police has outlined major diversions and restrictions at Red Fort in view of the 20th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage. Commuters must avoid the mentioned routes between 8 am to 9 pm until December 13, 2025.

Traffic restrictions and diversions

Delhi Traffic Police may enforce a complete restriction on Netaji Subhash Marg, Ring Road (Rajghat to ISBT Kashmiri Gate), SPM Marg, and Nishad Raj Marg during the event hours, if required. Diversions, as necessary, are enforced from the following points:

• Chhatta Rail Chowk
• T-Point Subhash Marg
• Shanti Van Chowk
• GPO Chowk
• Delhi Gate
• Hanuman Mandir Crossing

Parking Arrangements

Visitors to the Red Fort and the Chandni Chowk market are advised to park their vehicles at the designated locations:

• Parade Ground Parking, Netaji Subhash Marg
• ASI Parking, Red Fort, Nishad Raj Marg
• Dangal Maidan Parking, SPM Marg
• Omaxe Mall Parking, HC Sen Road
• Church Mission Road Parking

NOTE: Pedestrians must use footpaths and designated crossings. Visitors, shoppers, and customers are requested to cooperate with the Delhi Traffic Police and follow instructions.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

In view of the 20th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage at Red Fort from 08–13 December 2025, special traffic arrangements will remain in force from 08:00 AM to 09:00 PM.
