Delhi Traffic Alert: Avoid INA, Jor Bagh and nearby routes on November 23, curbs near JLN Stadium – check full advisory

In a comprehensive traffic advisory issued on Saturday, the Delhi Traffic Police has outlined major diversions and restrictions on several roads around the JLN Stadium on Sunday.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic movement will remain affected from 6 am onwards near South Delhi on Sunday (November 3, 2025) in view of the Bharat Ka Bhavishya - Shahothon Half Marathon. In a comprehensive traffic advisory issued on Saturday, the Delhi Traffic Police has outlined major diversions and restrictions on several roads around the JLN Stadium. Commuters must plan their journey accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Traffic Diversion Points

  • Mehar Chand Market Signal: Heavy vehicles approaching from Sewa Nagar, Jor Bagh and INA will be rerouted towards Aurobindo Marg via 4th Avenue Road and Sewa Nagar Market Road.
  • Kotla Red Light: Heavy vehicles coming from Kotla Mubarakpur Gurudwara, Defence Colony Market, and Andrews Ganj will be diverted towards Defence Colony Market Road.
  • Roundabout, Gate No. 17 (JLN Stadium): Vehicles from Dayal Singh/Pragati Vihar side will be rerouted towards Lala Lajpat Marg via CGO Complex Red Light.
  • 2nd Avenue Road & 4th Avenue Road: Traffic coming from Sewa Nagar and Jor Bagh will be diverted towards Jor Bagh Road.

Restrictions On Major Routes

  • Heavy vehicles going from JLN Stadium Red Light to B.P. Marg will be restricted entry on November 23 from 4 to 9.30 am.
  • Commuters may face traffic delays on roads leading to JLN Stadium-B.P. Marg, CGO Complex Road, 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue Road.

NOTE: All emergency vehicles (Delhi Police, Ambulance, Fire Brigade) will be allowed movement on diverted roads. However, they are advised to avoid B.P. Marg and CGO Complex Road to prevent inconvenience. Additionally, commuters heading to railway stations, airports, or Hospitals should plan travel and use the suggested alternate routes.
