Delhi Traffic Advisory: Disruptions Expected In Paharganj Area On August 31 – Check Alternate Routes And Timing

Traffic will remain affected in the Paharganj area on Sunday, August 31, from 9 am to 6 pm due to the Tazia Procession & Mata Maharani Jyoti Yatra.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Delhi Traffic Police on Saturday issued a comprehensive advisory, outlining major diversions and regulations on certain key roads. Traffic will remain affected in the Paharganj area on Sunday, August 31, from 9 am to 6 pm due to the Tazia Procession & Mata Maharani Jyoti Yatra. Commuters are urged to plan their journeys in advance and follow the directions of traffic police personnel to avoid inconvenience.

Traffic Restrictions And Diversions

Traffic movement will be halted in phases as the procession pass through:

  • Desh Bandhu Gupta Road (DBG Road)
  • Chelmsford Road
  • Qutub Road
  • Paharganj Adjoining areas

Suggested Alternate Routes

Commuters en route to New Delhi Railway Station and Connaught Place are advised to take alternate routes via Rani Jhansi Road – Panchkuian Road – Mandir Marg – Kali Bari Marg. Vehicles bound for Ajmeri Gate and DBG Road may be rerouted via Paharganj – Rani Jhansi Road.

NOTE: Heavy traffic and buses may be curtailed at Aram Bagh. They are not allowed to head towards the Ajmeri Gate during procession hours.
