Delhi Traffic Alert! Diversions And Restrictions On MG Marg Till August 31 For Sewer Repair Work

Traffic will remain affected on Mahatma Gandhi Marg and the surrounding areas. Commuters are advised to plan their journey accordingly to reach their destinations on time.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Delhi Traffic Police on Saturday issued a comprehensive advisory, outlining major restrictions and diversions due to sewer line repair work by the Delhi Jal Board. In the advisory, effective till August 31, 2025, commuters are urged to avoid 33B Shamnath Marg, Civil Lines. Additionally, traffic will remain affected on Mahatma Gandhi Marg and the surrounding areas.

Motorists must take alternate routes or use public transportation, avoid roadside parking, and follow the directions of traffic personnel to ensure smooth movement.

Traffic Restrictions/Diversions

  • Traffic will be diverted from P.S. Civil Lines Red Light to I.P. College Red Light.
  • Only emergency vehicles will be allowed as needed.

Parking Restrictions

  • Avoid parking on Mahatma Gandhi Marg and the surrounding affected key stretches to avoid congestion
  • Vehicles improperly parked may be towed away as per the law.

Commuters are advised to plan their journey accordingly to reach their destinations on time. Additionally, motorists are requested to follow on-ground instructions and cooperate with traffic personnel for a smooth experience.
